MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Black Line

I'm in love with MAC's Pearlglide Intense eyeliners. They are very soft, smooth, pigmented eye pencils that go on very, very easily and don't fade. The colours are bold and most have glitter in them, giving them all a depth of colour MAC's regular eye pencils don't have. Sadly the Pearlglides are not part of MAC's permanent collection and only pop up in limited edition collections throughout the year, so if you see one you like, buy it, because they're not going to be around for long!

The current colour collection, A Tartan Tale includes five Pearlglide Eye Liners (Temptalia, as always, has fantastic photos of them all) and I picked up the teal one, Undercurrent, while a friend of mine picked up the black-gold, Black Line. Donna kindly offered it to me to photograph and swatch for Beauty Squared, and it's one of the colours that'd work on many people.  Here it is!

Black Line is a black base with gold-green glitter. For those of you who find black too harsh for you to wear, this is a nice option, particularly if you've got brown or hazel eyes or warm colouring.

Seriously, these go on like buttah. Sooo smooth and soft there's minimal tugging on the skin around the eye and so easy to smudge if needed. These do set and stay on though, so work quickly if you want a smudgy look!

Please note that the Pearlglides are not good for applying to the waterline (the inside of your eyelids) as the glitter will flake off and get into your eyes.

Buttah, I tell you and the colours are beautiful. They're perfect for adding a pop of colour or drama (or both) to any eyelook, simple or dramatic.

Have you tried any of MAC's Pearlglides? What do you think? Which one is your favourite?

For a look I did using two of MAC Pearlglides, check out this FOTD post from April.
